Unsure of Myself

October is two days away. Which means Fall Break is two weeks away (approximately). Which means it's almost November, which means it's almost Thanksgiving Break, which means it's almost Winter Break.

Unfortunately, while this optimistic way of counting down until the end of the semester is working great for me, I can't help but tell ya...

The rest of the semester's going to be busy as fuck.

My Web Design class is going smoothly, I have no worries about that one. It'll just require some free time to sit down and design my first site (or work on any future projects). Broadcast Management doesn't seem like it'll be too difficult either. Pay attention, take notes, do the work.

Critical Theory, however, I have to devote as much energy as I can to it - just to understand the material. Then I have to devote MORE energy to the class, to complete the actual WORK! It's a huge pain in the ass, to be quite honest. It's beyond this realm of understanding. The class name really should be changed to Bullshit 101. Seriously.

And finally, the class that is making the entire semester "busy"...Electronic Media Production. The girls' basketball season begins soon, with pre-season shit starting next week, and this means we have to start filming shit for the Amy Stephens Show (she's the coach).

Busy, busy, busy.

Of course, another thing that bothers me about this...basketball season obviously runs through winter break, and so does the coach's show. Which, unfortunately, may require me to remain school-related that entire month in which I was hoping to un-relate myself from it. It's supposed to be a vacation. =o(

But this isn't confirmed yet. So I'm not sure. Maybe I'll enjoy it by then, and WANT to keep working on it. But I somehow doubt it. We'll see. I'm just stressing because, as I said, this makes things very, very busy.

That, and I'm still uncomfortable working with the equipment. One thing I plan on doing, is sitting down with Final Cut Pro and figuring it the fuck out. There's several things I don't understand that I really should. Plus I really WANT to learn it, because if anything, editing is where I'll be useful.

::sigh::

And next Friday (Oct. 8), I have to film some of the basketball girls doing their lifting workouts or whatever, and we're using the full-sized cameras, which makes it a very daunting task. =o\ Maybe I'll check out one of those cameras for a little bit and just take a look at it and at least get a grip on the basics (like, I dunno, where the RECORD button is...).

I'm in over my head, I think.

Anyway, I leave for class in 3 minutes. ::publishing...::
